About The Position

QTS offers critical end-of-line services for medical device OEMs including finished device assembly, packaging and sterilization management. QTS is part of the Cretex Medical family of companies. This position works under immediate supervision of the Engineering Manager to balance the requirements of Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Quality in a cost-effective and time conscious manner. The intern will assist the Engineering department with projects from scope definition through implementation. This co-op would be located in Bloomington, MN and would run from June 2026 to December 2026.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program for Packaging, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and ERP and other business-related systems
• Ability to work with CAD and design software
• Solid mechanical aptitude and experience with simple electro-mechanical systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills to create effective working relationships with suppliers and coworkers
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks when needed
• Good attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Provide internal customer technical support
• Part manufacturability technical support
• Assist with the implementation of process and design improvements
• Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance as needed
• Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
• Support and comply with the company’s Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
• Complete all other work duties as assigned
