The Engineering Co-op position at Daikin Applied offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the HVAC industry. This role involves working on meaningful engineering projects that contribute to the development of innovative HVAC solutions. Interns will engage with a dynamic team, allowing them to build professional relationships and make a significant impact on their careers.

  • Select a relevant Engineering project proposal to own and influence.
  • Research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of the design or application.
  • Design/test products or systems such as instruments, controls, fan coil, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems.
  • Work with fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
  • Incoming Junior currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience with Solidworks or related CAD software.
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Successfully completed Thermodynamics I and Fluid Mechanics.
  • GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, preferred 3.5 or better.
  • Reside within a 300-mile radius of the Plymouth, MN office.
  • Hands-on experience in a leading organization.
