About The Position

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively searching for a student pursuing an engineering degree to support the Quality Assurance (QA) teams at Arthrex Logistics Center (ALC) in Fort Myers, FL. The QA team is responsible for supporting incoming inspection and various engineering activities at ALC. The successful candidate will review engineering drawings and quality plans to create or revise inspection criteria with guidance from the engineering staff and execute various process improvement activities in support of on-going projects. The individual must be detail oriented in the execution and documentation of assigned tasks. The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Fort Myers, FL facility. Main Objective: Provide hands-on experience working in quality assurance/quality engineering function within a medical device company.

Requirements

  • Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a recent engineering graduate, required. Junior or above preferred. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate, oral and written, and possess the ability to work through technical issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, required.

Responsibilities

  • Support material inspection and process improvement initiatives.
  • Review engineering drawings and quality plans, as well as inspection information for accuracy.
  • Investigate and implement inspection reduction activities.
  • Analyze measure method alignment on historical product.
  • Support QA team with continuous improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
