The role of an Engineering Change Coordinator is to ensure that products changes (new products launch, phase out) are considered within the ECM process from MMR/PDW updates to implementation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the automotive industry
  • Proficient level of English
  • Understanding of engineering changes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge in SAP
  • Ability to indirectly manage teams
  • Project management experience ideal
  • Understanding of general manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering changes at plant level, completing all necessary steps to implementation in accordance with Engineering Change Procedures
  • Lead weekly plant engineering change meeting with key players (Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Production, Purchasing) and maintain tracking file of all ongoing changes
  • Ensure that changes are considered in production scheduling and material planning
  • Manage phase out files to monitor and minimize obsolescence – timing of changes aligned with stock levels and runouts
  • Loading of features, routings, other master data into ERP System and shopfloor execution systems
  • Perform regular BOM Audits - Identify BOM issues and notify development engineers via the BOM alert process. Track issues through closure and relay to production planners and schedulers
  • Keep up special relationships with program teams. Define and assume the logistics conditions necessary for the launch of new programs
