Basic Function: The Product Engineering Change Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and technical support necessary to facilitate the smooth and efficient operation of the Product Engineering Change Management System, (including launch, in-cycle product changes, and supplier led change initiatives), and overall coordination, maintenance of the documentation, and aligned with the Business Operating System. Specific Duties: Change Control Support program SDT meetings along with the cross-functional departments, including Quality engineers, Manufacturing engineers, product engineers, Operations, Safety, and Materials) to assist program management with upcoming product change issues, and attend program meetings (SDT, ECO-ECR) as a key plant representative. Oversee and promote all aspects of the Product Engineering Change Management System (ECMS) and related customer requirements. Maintain strong communication links with all stakeholders (e.g. internal plant, engineering, program management and customer representatives) regarding engineering changes and supportive production trials, prototype/ pre-production builds and supportive paperwork such as PPAP, SREA, etc. Ensure that Deviation Authorization (DA) has the proper approvals; communicate the approved deviation for implementation, and track deviation through closure. Create and maintain WERS Alerts (Ford System) for the plant and communicate these alerts to the customer for all product deviations. Maintain Teams ECMS (engineering change management system) database to track all DA/ECR/ECO/Concerns/Notice/Alerts for all engineering changes. Track the progress of each change and the progress of each department’s signoffs. Prepare for and lead weekly engineering change meetings for upcoming engineering changes. Gather document approvals for the engineering change checklist, follow-up on delinquent responses, and report excessive or continuing delinquencies to all departments. Collect the recorded results of the trial and track the implementation date and ILVS # of trials. Business Operating System (BOS) Oversight Maintain all records relating to TS16949, ISO 14001 and BOS internal audit results including maintenance, tracking and verification of responses to any findings. Maintain official records of all local processes, standards, work instructions, specifications and forms in the BOS database and coordinate verification of compliance to those records. Cascade and coordinate training and compliance for corporate updates to BOS as required.
