We are seeking a temporary Business Analyst with strong expertise in Power Query, Power BI, and data transformation to support business decision-making through insightful reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate will excel in gathering requirements, translating business needs into scalable BI solutions, and delivering high-quality dashboards that drive strategic outcomes.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models that provide meaningful insights and support business initiatives.
  • Use Power Query to clean, merge, and transform complex datasets from multiple sources into structured and optimized data models.
  • Implement DAX calculations and measures to support advanced analytics and KPI development.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all reporting solutions and collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to validate data sources, improve data pipelines, and ensure long-term scalability.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and provide recommendations based on analytical findings.
  • Conduct user training, create documentation, and support end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices and continuously identify opportunities to improve existing reports, automate manual processes, and enhance analytical efficiency.
  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Proficiency in Power Query (M Language) for data preparation and transformation.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills and experience working with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience interpreting complex data, identifying trends, and translating insights into business recommendations.
  • You will also communicate with and have stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience building Power BI dashboards, data models, and DAX measures.
  • Experience with large datasets and enterprise BI environments.
