About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an Engineering Associate – Middleware & Automation to join the Chief Technology Office (CTO) aligned to Technology Architecture & Engineering. This role supports enterprise‑scale messaging and middleware platforms that enable critical business functions across all lines of business at Wells Fargo. This entry‑level role focuses on automation, reliability, and operational efficiency across messaging technologies such as MQ, Solace, and Kafka. The role provides hands‑on exposure to large‑scale distributed systems, automation engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices in a highly regulated enterprise environment. This is an excellent opportunity for early‑career engineers who are passionate about automation, scripting, and infrastructure reliability, and who want to build a strong foundation supporting mission‑critical platforms that power Wells Fargo’s core business operations. You will also participate in the Career Opportunities in Development and Engineering (CODE) Program — a two‑year development program that runs alongside your full-time experience. CODE is designed for recent grads, coding bootcamp alumni and individuals with hands-on technical experience looking to break into tech. No four‑year degree is required.
