Job Title: Engineering Assistant Reporting To: Manager, Quality Assurance Work Schedule: Onsite – Christiansburg, VA To be considered for the Engineering Assistant role, here's what you'll need to bring with you: High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Completion of or currently enrolled in Engineering or Technical Field associate degree. Ability to lift and transport items greater than 50lbs. Experience in LabView for test automation, data acquisition, or system control. Foundational knowledge of electronics and low power electrical circuits Demonstrated hands-on proficiency working with tools, machinery, and technical equipment Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy. Familiarity with SQL database (Structured Query Language) Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Proficiency in circuit design and related electronic systems. Experience or strong interest in robotics, automation, and mechatronics. Working knowledge of the C++ programming language. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with a collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset. As an Engineering Assistant, you will: Support Moog Christiansburg’s automation and test activities. Develop written procedures based on customer requirements and direction from engineering staff to support automation and test devices and programs. Coordinate data collection and presentation. Ensure basic safety practices in day-to-day work. Assist in training/cross-training of others. Active participant in Continuous Improvement Process. Perform other duties as assigned/needed for the role. Requirements
