The Electric Operations team ensures the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response. The Substation Engineering & Design team is responsible for project engineering and design work for PG&E substations. The team is responsible for Transmission Substation engineering and design, Distribution Substation engineering and design, technical assistance on feasibility studies, technical coordination with Transmission Line Engineering and design, technical consultation (project options), project scope, detailed estimates, material lists, equipment specifications, construction support, and other activities as needed. This position is represented by Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC) subject to collective bargaining. This position will be directly responsible for substation engineering activities, providing engineering and technical support within a substation engineering group and managing engineering drawings and files. Under supervision, the role involves performing technical work in connection with the design, construction, maintenance, or operation of the Company's facilities or functions related thereto as an assistant to a group of engineers. This position is hybrid, working from a remote office and the assigned work location based on business need, which will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
