About the position

The Engineering Analyst is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining stable and capable production/business processes as they pertain to product/process quality and throughput, and for monitoring and correcting related issues of Assembly/Production Lines.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement the replacement or installation of new cells (machines and automation).
  • Interpret bevel gear prints, including dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Plan, test, and supervise the implementation of preventative actions on production lines to establish and verify capable and stable processes in terms of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Perform capability studies and Gage R&R, and implement PDCA for improvements of these respective studies.
  • Create CNC programs for new products and apply changes to optimize tool life and/or cycle time.
  • Manage 8D investigations or similar corrective action processes derived from product and process audits, internal quality investigations, or customer complaints.
  • Establish, maintain, and administer Control Plans, PFMEA's, Process Flow Maps, and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) as well as additional documentation need for its respective process.
  • Participate in all aspects of simultaneous engineering efforts for new projects (e.g., APQP, QR83, PPAP), including but not limiting to work holding fixtures, measurement devices, automation, and part touch details.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 4+ years of professional level engineering/analysis experience encompassing one or more of the following areas: Test Engineering/Analysis, Manufacturing Analysis/Planning/Process, Product Design/Development and or Program/Launch Management.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient in MS-Office Suite.
  • Experience in mistake-proofing, problem-solving, APQP, SPC, PPAP, and production equipment software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Minitab, Power BI, SharePoint, and MS Project is preferred.
