About The Position

If you answered yes to those three questions, then today! Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Grand Prairie, TX. Interested? Here's what you'd do: The Test Engineering department designs and fabricates equipment for the development and manufacture of tactical hardware. We seek early-career individuals who will fabricate electronic and electromechanical assemblies (sub-assemblies) according to Engineering drawings. Daily activity would include not only a fast-paced fabrication environment but also using several computer-based programs to update job status, Quality Inspections, and Engineering changes. The fabrication of wiring harnesses will need connector pinning, de-pinning, and ing mounting hardware. In addition, these lower-level assemblies are to be built up into single or multi-bay cabinet assemblies for delivery to Engineering or Manufacturing Production areas. This position will allow the candidate to contribute as an individual in a team environment. This would include collaborating with Engineers and other Fabrication team members, including other Fabricators, Draftsmen, Procurement, and Quality Inspectors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in fabrication environments, including cable and harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design products.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience fabricating electrical equipment designed from a blueprint, schematic, and engineering guides.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience communicating issues (both verbal and written) with the design or the process requirements to management or engineers.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with utilizing software tools and Microsoft products.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree.
  • Prior certification in solder and harness capability to meet MIL-STD requirements.
  • Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721.
  • Experience in procurement and acquisition of test materials.
  • Experience interpreting and building Test Equipment engineering.
  • Self-starter able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to place and solder components on circuit cards and sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate electronic and electromechanical assemblies according to Engineering drawings.
  • Update job status, Quality Inspections, and Engineering changes using computer-based programs.
  • Fabricate wiring harnesses including connector pinning, de-pinning, and mounting hardware.
  • Build lower-level assemblies into single or multi-bay cabinet assemblies for delivery.
  • Collaborate with Engineers and other Fabrication team members.
