About The Position

The Engineering Adjunct Faculty position involves teaching courses as assigned, with a requirement for the faculty member to be willing to teach in person and/or be certified to teach online. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and specialized licensing preferred.
• Some teaching experience is required, particularly at the community college level.
• Unofficial college transcripts must be submitted prior to the interview.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned courses in accordance with the description published in the catalog and the approved course syllabus.
• Incorporates interactive approaches, technologies, and methods into teaching when possible.
• Integrates an appreciation of diverse lifestyles, cultures, and national perspectives into courses.
• Utilizes library resources, writing as an instructional method, and academic technologies in courses.
• Meets all scheduled class meetings and advises the Division Dean/Assistant Dean of absences in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate grade and attendance records for students and submits required reports.
• Submits grades by the published deadline.
• Participates in the assessment of learning outcomes and uses results for course planning.
• Plans in advance for the availability of supplies, textbooks, and classroom equipment.
• Submits progress reports on students and discusses any issues with appropriate personnel.
• Adheres to College policies and procedures.
