About The Position

The Engineering Adjunct Faculty position involves teaching courses as assigned, with a requirement for the faculty member to be willing to teach in person and/or be certified to teach online. The faculty member is expected to teach assigned courses in accordance with the course description published in the catalog and the approved course syllabus, while incorporating interactive approaches, technologies, and methods when possible. The role also includes maintaining accurate grade and attendance records, submitting required reports, and participating in the assessment of learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and specialized licensing preferred.
• Some teaching experience required.
• Unofficial college transcripts must be submitted prior to interview.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned courses in accordance with description published in catalog and the approved course syllabus.
• Incorporates an appreciation of diverse lifestyles, cultures, and national perspectives into courses.
• Utilizes library resources, writing as an instructional method, and academic technologies in courses.
• Meets all scheduled class meetings.
• Advises Division Dean/Assistant Dean of absences in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate grade and attendance records for students and submits required reports.
• Submits grades per published deadline.
• Participates in assessment of learning outcomes and uses results in course planning.
• Plans in advance for availability of supplies, textbooks, and classroom equipment.
• Submits progress reports on students for counseling and record keeping purposes.
• Adheres to College policies and procedures.
