The Selenium and Web Services QA Engineer works with project teams to ensure standard quality practices and processes are followed. This role involves conducting end-to-end testing on applications and designing and executing test scripts based upon test strategy/plans to identify defects prior to production. Tests may be manual, automated, or both, and the engineer assists with data management. The engineer is responsible for ensuring on-time completion of all required testing deliverables and for exposing and mitigating operational risk relative to the execution of the system test plans. The role requires effective management of multiple project deliverables in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, utilizing time management skills. The engineer provides verbal and written executive status updates to key stakeholders and ensures that any risks associated with the agreed test strategy and the system test plan are clearly documented and communicated to clients, users, and colleagues. Additionally, the engineer manages all risks associated with testing and takes preventative action when any risks become unacceptable. The role also involves planning, arranging, and facilitating meetings, workgroups, and communications with stakeholders during test planning and throughout subsequent development and testing activities.
