Prepares technical documentation in order to implement waterfront welding processes including specifications, analyses, standards, and restrictions. Creates new or improves current welding methods and techniques in order to improve productivity. Interfaces with suppliers and vendors to support construction, assembly and system integration needs.Must HaveBachelor of Science degree in Welding, Metallurgical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering with 2 years experience OR a Master's Degree in Welding, Metallurgical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Welding, Metallurgical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering with 2 years experience OR a Master's Degree in Welding, Metallurgical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience in using welding engineering based Navy standards and codes.
  • Knowledge of the variety of welding systems and welding materials common to Ingalls and other shipbuilders.
  • Experience in robotic w_eldina. field troubleshooting and failure analysis
