About The Position

As an Engineer VI on the RS3 UAS Contract, you will provide high-level engineering expertise to support the development and implementation of cutting-edge unmanned aerial systems (UAS). In this senior role, you will be expected to lead complex projects, perform advanced technical analysis, and contribute to innovative engineering solutions. You will work independently while collaborating with other senior engineers, providing mentorship to junior staff, and driving the technical direction of the project. A Secret Clearance is required to ensure secure operations within the contract’s parameters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT II requirements.
• Minimum of 10 years of related job experience, gained post-degree from an accredited institution.
• Engineers must have received their engineering degree from an accredited program of study.
• Scientists must have received a science degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must be capable of receiving guidance from senior-level managers/engineers/scientists and working independently to accomplish assigned tasks.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, methodologies, and practices related to UAS.
• Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects and provide independent solutions to technical challenges.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in performing advanced technical analysis, system evaluations, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering tasks in support of the RS3 UAS Contract, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, project milestones, and security standards.
• Provide strategic guidance and technical leadership in the design, development, and implementation of UAS solutions.
• Perform advanced technical analysis, assessments, and evaluations related to UAS engineering projects.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering technical growth and development.
• Collaborate with senior team members to contribute to the overall success of the UAS program and ensure alignment with project goals.
