About The Position

The Senior Project Engineer will independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of a wide variety of civil engineering principles and practices. The Senior Project Engineer will assist a Project Manager on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features. This position will be required to work with other engineering disciplines within the company. This position will work a hybrid work schedule reporting to the nearest RailPros location.

Requirements

  • Proficient with electronic communications including e-mail and text as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Proficient with CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley)
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in project budget and schedule tools
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
  • 8+ years prior experience needed
  • Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager in managing a project
  • Review completed project documents for conformity and quality assurance
  • Perform administrative duties related to managing a project
  • Assist upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
  • Design a complete project, system, component, or process, or lead review tasks
  • Prepare complete project documents or provide markups for reviewed documents
  • Design or provide review of projects
  • Analyze and interpret data
  • Formulate and solve problems
  • Work independently on projects
  • Use appropriate discretion to elevate concerns
  • Direct communication with client concerning project
  • Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs
