The Engineer Trainee is an essential member of the Engineering Department which is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The ability to multitask and prioritize is also essential for this position. The Engineer Trainee is responsible for following duties.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate various electronic systems .
  • Service Passion for Luxury Hospitality
  • Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Must have 6 classes in Electrical, Heating, HVHC , and Plumbing
  • Willing to learn general building maintenance.
  • Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
  • Ability to read and speak and write English.
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and assist preventative maintenance of selective equipment and update appropriate logs as needed.
  • Learn and assist in repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public area in a timely manner.
  • Assist in responding to emergency conditions throughout the hotel such as fires, power failures, etc.
  • Assist all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department and hotel.
  • Assist and support the installation or relocation of any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary.
  • Assist with energy conservation programs in the hotel.
  • Assist and support the installation of electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions and associated equipment and of electrical set ups for exhibits including maintenance of those set-ups.
  • Successful candidates will be a willing team player, comfortable with electronic systems and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote team work .
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
