About The Position

Work with Sales and Engineering to specify and quote injection molds that meet both the internal and external customer expectations and provide machine requirements and estimated cycle time for quoting purposes. Specify general tool designs, components and controls for new molds. Conduct mold run offs at vendors to verify quality, function and performance to specifications. Responsible for approving mold designs prior to start of mold builds. Support Account Managers and Program Managers in technical subject matter execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any combination of education and/or experience (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering Management or Mechanical Engineering plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a managerial position in the plastics industry.
• Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, defining specifications for molding systems for high volume parts
• Coordinating First Article Testing of injection molds and systems, and estimating costs for piece part prices to reduce manufacturing/operating costs.
• Experience with tooling and manufacturing engineering is also required.
• 20% domestic and international travel required.
