About The Position

The role provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Responsibilities include gathering, maintaining, formatting, compiling, and manipulating technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. The position involves producing engineering documentation, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). It requires performing detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas and conducting preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided. The candidate will be performing mechanical system testing associated with Ford class carrier propulsion plants, including Nuclear and Steam plant systems, associated support systems, and Emergency Diesel Generators. Duties will include system testing, troubleshooting, integrated plant testing and operations, and work control (Lockout-Tagout). The position will involve working closely with Shift Test Engineers, Lead Test Engineers, and Ship's Force on CVN78 Class test programs. The candidate must have the ability to physically access a wide variety of work sites, primarily those aboard ships under construction, and be available to work on all shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 0 years of relevant professional/exempt experience.
