About The Position

The Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting the engineering team with development of new products. He or she will manufacture, assemble, disassemble, report and test all products handled by the Valve Division. They will run tests, record data and present information to the engineering team. They will assist in development of engineering tools and test fixtures as well as improving production processes and techniques.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in a mechanical or industrial discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education
Strong knowledge and practical experience with mechanical design principles
Ability to develop, read, and comprehend mechanical drawings and hydraulic schematics
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Good oral and written skills
Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced work environment
Self-directed and able to prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with a strong desire to work within a team environment

Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and compliance requirements, preferred

Responsibilities

Manage, assembly and test all prototypes
Assist with all prototype test instructions and processes
Create all production test instructions for valve assemblies
Assist in the creation of test fixtures for assembly production
Assist with troubleshooting issues either during the prototype phase or prototype testing at the customer
Participate in the implementation of process improvements
Participate in maintaining and suggesting safety practices and procedures
Maintain an orderly working environment
Maintain system accuracy and record transactions in Engineering Project Hub as well as ERP operating system
Participate as a team member to achieve goals
Other duties as assigned
