What You Will Do Prototype & Launch Support: Lead and support prototype, pilot, and pre-production builds for new and revised products Design for Manufacturability: Provide DFM/DFA input during design reviews and quoting activities CNC Programming: Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for laser cutting, press brakes, tube benders, and robotic MIG welding cells CAD-to-Production Execution: Develop production-ready programs directly from 3D CAD models and 2D drawings Process Troubleshooting: Resolve cutting, forming, bending, and welding issues; reduce scrap and downtime using structured problem-solving methods APQP & Launch Readiness: Support APQP, PPAP, and launch activities including process validation and run-at-rate Tooling & Standardized Work : Design and improve tooling, fixtures, setup sheets, work instructions, and visual aids Quality & Compliance: Ensure manufacturing processes meet IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements Continuous Improvement: Lead or support safety, throughput, and process capability improvement initiatives Equipment & Automation Support : Support new equipment, automation, and robotic cell installation, debug, and optimization

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting CNC manufacturing processes in a metal stamping or fabrication environment
  • Hands-on experience with multiple of the following: CNC laser cutting Press brake forming CNC tube bending Robotic MIG welding cells
  • Strong CAD/CAM skills, with the ability to independently create and modify programs
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and welding symbols
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Comfortable working independently on the manufacturing floor and supporting multiple production areas

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an IATF 16949 automotive or heavy truck environment
  • Familiarity with OEM or Tier 1 customer-specific requirements
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Amada Dr. Abe, RoboGuide, or similar
  • Experience supporting APQP, PPAP, and launch activities
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure
