AMERICAN SYSTEMS CORPORATION is looking for a self-driven, intermediate level candidate with an active Secret clearance to join our AMERICAN SYSTEMS Ship Control systems team as an In-Service Enginnering Agent technician. Candidate will be supporting the United States Navy at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor, WA. Responsibilities Perform on-site support of submarine Ship Control Systems (SCS) and execute the duties of In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for Seawolf and Ohio Class submarines SCS. Maintain knowledge and experience in overseeing the development, integration, test, evaluation and certification of existing and new submarine Fly by Wire (FBW) SCS designs, such as Columbia class. Provide support to the tech assist teams in troubleshooting and repair of SCS, and maintain qualifications as Alteration Installation Teams (AIT) supporting SCS upgrades/alterations. Coordinate with Shipbuilders, Lead Design Yards, and Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP) engineers/technicians to support new construction, overhaul, maintenance, test and repair of submarine FBW SCS. Maintain knowledge in hardware and software test and inspection methods and requirement verification, validation, and quality assurance methods. Ensure fleet problem reports against SCS are acted upon and solutions proposed in a timely manner, and participate in FBW process development and execution. Participate in modernization teams, as necessary, to coordinate and develop the appropriate system upgrades and ensure other interfacing systems maintain compliance with existing interface specification and coordinate proposed interface changes.
