About The Position

This position is responsible for the IBM iSeries Operating System management including: Administration, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the IBM i Operating System, security, middleware and communications software on Power-8 and Power-10 PowerVM hardware. Software product administration and maintenance of the following software products IBMi 7.4 and 7.5 operating system and license product programs Trinity Guard Suite ConnectDirect IBM MQ IBM C.A.R.T. IBM Expert Query PKWare PKEncrypt PTC – MKS Implementer TAA Tools SEA – absMessage Administration, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the following hardware and devices IBM FS7300 Virtual input output server Broadcom Brocade Switches IBM Hardware Management Consoles High availability systems operations, scheduling, automation and support Vulnerability patching of operating system and associated components Storage & File Systems management Hardware Planning, Configuration and Incident Management Performance & Capacity Management System (COB) Continuity of Business processes and procedures Review requirement documents and update processes and procedures as necessary Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements Perform impact analysis, solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolution to restore services Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service

Requirements

  • 7 plus years of experience working on large, complex iSeries environments especially in Financial Services industry, with a proven track record of delivering results on time, operational process change and improvement.
  • 5+ years of experience providing level 2/3 engineering support
  • Ability to work with virtual / in-person teams, and work under pressure / to a deadline
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
