We are excited for the opportunity to bring aboard highly motivated and energetic individuals to join our teams. Currently, we are seeking a Engineer, Software III - Cloud Solution Architect III. This role supports a Navy customer in Charleston, SC.

  • Gathers requirements and designs Public, Private, and Hybrid Cloud-based system deployments and system transitions.
  • Architecting and planning migrations to commercial cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Office 365, Google Cloud Platform, or similar cloud platforms.
  • Perform in a supervisory or technical lead role on a team of architects leading the design and recommendations.
  • Work with end users and application experts to elicit requirements for designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems in cloud based systems.
  • Lift and shift planning for an existing on-premises application to cloud based systems.
  • Ingress and egress planning for data migration to and from cloud based systems.
  • Selecting the appropriate cloud service based on data, compute, database, or security requirements.
  • Integration with on-premises enterprise networks and systems.
  • Identifying appropriate use of cloud architectural best practices.
  • Estimating cloud costs and identifying cost control mechanisms.
  • Providing tasking and oversight over other technical members of the team performing the design and architecture.
  • Providing technical clarity and direction to Cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS Consultants.
  • Reviews final work products for correctness and adherence to design concepts.
  • Ten (10) years with Master's or fourteen (14) years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience with research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
  • Experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
  • Notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
  • Possess Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
  • Obtaining and maintaining an industry recognized applicable Cloud Computing vendor architecture certification.
