HII: Mission Technologies is seeking Entry-level Software/electrical Engineer that excels at working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. An ideal candidate will have experience using model-based software development tools for rapid prototyping, testing, and debugging, including supporting integration activities on complex systems of software, electrical, and mechanical hardware. This position is located on site in Warren, MI and cannot be done remotely. Requirements

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with: Matlab Simulink, Mathematica, Code Composer Studio, Qt Creator, LT-Spice, Plecs, and Raptor software
  • MIPS Assembly, NIOs II Assembly, C, MicroPython, Java programming, Testlab programs, and Simcenter SCADAS hardware
  • Digital Signal Processors, Digital and Analog circuits
  • Electronics breadboarding, evaluation development boards, and circuit troubleshooting skills
  • Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.

Responsibilities

  • Model-based functional application / control algorithm development using Matlab/Simulink, LT-Spice and Plecs
  • Real-time Interface development and calibration utilizing New Eagle Raptor suite of tools and Code Composer Studio
  • Compiling and flashing prototype software code onto a New Eagle Raptor ECU and Code Composer Studio
  • Hands-on electronics breadboarding, evaluation development boards, and circuit troubleshooting skills
  • Support testing and debugging of control algorithms
  • Onsite test support for calibration and data-logging
  • Model simulation and debugging control algorithms
  • Provide technical status updates to inform programmatic decisions/design reviews
