About The Position

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. This position is intended for the I&C group in Department E11. The incumbent will be responsible for the I&C lab as an administrator and network lead. This position regularly communicates with Navy, Department Leads, Supply Chain, NNL, Engineers/Designers across Departments, via email, phone, and in person meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Master’s Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience
  • US Citizenship Required for this Position
  • Clearance Required: Yes- Final Clearance Required to Start

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering
  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)CompTIA Network+Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a network engineering role
  • Project planning and execution
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies like SDN, NFV, automation tools, or cloud-based networking solutions
