About The Position

This position will determine the best value resolution for each problem as warranted and provide a recommended course of action, along with viable alternatives, for consideration to the customer. Develop reports documenting problem data, analyses, and recommended solutions including supporting rationale. Industrial  Evaluate and establish production processes and controls using AFSO 21, LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar analysis tools to implement continuous process improvements.  Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) to manage facility modifications and new construction projects compliant to the appropriate OSHA regulatory guidance for infrastructure issues. Mechanical (Utility Infrastructure)  Prepare and maintain facility mechanical documentation in AutoCAD and prepare design drawings and interface with base organizations for design, troubleshooting, and repair of infrastructure components.  Perform project management on various programs within the organization. Other Monitor the Engineering Request Database (ERD) and verify requests are valid as submitted. Interface with base organizations for troubleshooting, and repair of infrastructure components. Monitor all safety-related work orders and report the status as necessary to management. Perform in-depth technical analysis to resolve issues pertaining to mechanical problems within specified facilities and buildings the related utility systems sub-systems, and components. Post and maintain signage, maintain sanitizing stations, schedule refuse container pickup, and schedule insect eradication such as wasp throughout the government complex.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited school AND a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in an applicable field.
  • Experience must include technical involvement as applicable in one (1) or more of the following areas: 1. Design, development, production, testing, engineering studies, analysis of system design, performance enhancement
  • Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) parts obsolescence
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license when required by job assignment.
  • Must obtain a valid government driver’s license when required by job assignment.
  • Must obtain the level of Industrial Security Clearance required by the Government.
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations and application of applicable guidance for safe design and improvements.
  • Must be physically able to perform duties and responsibilities of the classification.
  • Must be able to work with required materials without debilitating irritation to skin, eyes or respiratory system while wearing the required personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to operate fork-lifts, golf carts and shop vehicles in accordance with government standards as they apply to performance of job duties.
  • Strong understanding of heating, ventilation, air distribution, and refrigeration principles.
