About The Position

The Quality Systems & Data Engineer at Scotts Miracle-Gro will focus on creating dashboards and reports based on quality data, maintaining the company's Quality Management Systems (QMS), and enhancing the quality culture within the organization. This role involves cross-functional collaboration and interaction with various vendors, manufacturing sites, and warehouses to support quality initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Good understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proficient in data analysis and statistical techniques and software (e.g. MS Excel, Google Sheets, Minitab).
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines as priorities shift.
  • Experience with Tableau or other BI tools creating dashboards and reports from a variety of data sources in support of Quality metrics or KPIs.
  • Experience utilizing iAuditor by SafetyCulture or other eQMS software.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and various levels of management.
  • Quality Auditing experience.
  • Quality training experience.
  • Good understanding of the basics of SAP.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.

  • ASQ CQIA, ASQ CQPA, ASQ CQA, ASQ CQE certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new and support existing Quality dashboards and reports using Tableau.
  • Provide data analytics support for all Quality business units.
  • Develop content in eQMS software to support Quality goals.
  • Facilitate DFMEA and PFMEA development sessions.
  • Manage outstanding CAPAs and assist with root cause investigations as necessary.
  • Conduct an annual gap assessment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
