About The Position

Support the administration and execution of First Solar’s ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System (QMS). Develop and maintain procedures and processes in support of the QMS. Lead First Solar’s plant ISO 9001 Internal Audits Program. Provide required training and analysis. Support all external (ISO, Customer, and Third Party) QMS audits. Maintain First Solar’s Document Control Center (DCC). Comply with regulatory, contractual, and company policies and procedures for record review and retention. 4-5yr – Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. highly preferred) or 10 yrs related Quality experience or 5 years’ direct Quality System oversight. 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Environment required. 5 years’ experience within ISO 9001 (or equivalent) Quality System required. ASQ Certification (CMI, CPT, CQA) desired. ISO 9001 Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor certification preferred.

Requirements

  • 4-5yr – Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. highly preferred) or
  • 10 yrs related Quality experience or
  • 5 years’ direct Quality System oversight.
  • 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Environment required.
  • 5 years’ experience within ISO 9001 (or equivalent) Quality System required.
  • Strong knowledge of quality system requirements, compliance, and continuous improvement practices
  • Proven Quality Assurance management knowledge and experience with ISO 9001
  • Proven knowledge of ISO standards, procedures, and internal quality audit processes
  • Ability to interpret and apply quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven problem‑solving skills, including the use of statistical methods (Six Sigma tools, SPC)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel; SQL a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven employee relations skills.

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ Certification (CMI, CPT, CQA) desired.
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and monitor QMS, materials, and product specifications in accordance with Company Policy and ISO standards.
  • Provide reports on QMS health and performance to all levels of the organization for review and implementation of continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for proper Quality Controls and procedures to drive KPI improvements and increase business ownership of Quality.
  • Manage ISO 9001 Internal Audits Program. Define and execute schedule. Collect, analyze, and report results. Drive associated corrective actions and/or improvements to closure.
  • Monitor QMS to ensure good document control and execution (DCC, PCAR, NCP, IQA). Keep systems aligned to business needs and requirements and monitor KPIs.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to foster Quality Alignment and esprit de corps.
  • Act as Quality Representative to other departments, sites, and supplier representatives to continually improve business practices.
  • Develop and provide training of personnel on QMS requirements and procedures.
  • Participate in the Production Readiness Process for new process and equipment designs as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
