The Project Manager, Portfolio Level Continuous Improvement & Change Management, will be a critical member of the Capital Portfolio Operations team, driving strategic initiatives that enable GFD's ambitious $10-12B annual capital agenda across eight mega programs. Reporting directly to the Portfolio Governance & Integration Director, this role will serve as a linchpin for continuous improvement, organizational change, and cross-program alignment—ensuring GFD operates as a united, high-performing capital delivery engine.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within pharmaceutical manufacturing, capital projects, or related industry.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, including experience leading after action reviews and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with organizational change management principles and practical application within large, matrixed environments.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and implementing process improvement frameworks at portfolio and program levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma, CIC, or similar process improvement certification.
  • Experience with dashboard/reporting integration for capital project portfolios.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Oracle Unifier Accelerator, Bluebeam and Visio.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing standards and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operationalize systematic lessons learned processes across the capital portfolio.
  • Facilitate after action reviews across all major capital projects and programs.
  • Lead root cause investigations for portfolio-level and program-specific issues.
  • Own organizational change management strategies that support cross-program governance, process standardization, and adoption of new tools or frameworks.
  • Partner with Program Directors and other functional leads to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are integrated into portfolio operating rhythms and decision forums.
  • Develop and manage consistent messaging and reporting on continuous improvement activities, outcomes, and change adoption.
  • Support the growth and onboarding of project management talent by sharing lessons learned, proven methodologies, and best practices in project delivery and change management.
