Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in automotive quality engineering, with a focus on HVAC and cooling systems.
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills, along with collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and cooling system design, components, and functionality.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (APQP, PPAP, SPC, 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma).
  • Experience with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
  • Experience with ERP and PLM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve quality issues related to HVAC and cooling systems.
  • Investigate root causes of product failures using problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, FMEA).
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure HVAC and cooling components meet quality standards.
  • Support validation testing, including durability, thermal efficiency, and performance assessments.
  • Participate in design reviews and risk assessments (DFMEA, PFMEA).
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
  • Review and approve supplier PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation.
  • Drive supplier corrective actions for non-conforming materials or components.
  • Support production teams with quality control initiatives and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain control plans, inspection criteria, and statistical process controls (SPC).
  • Monitor field performance data to identify trends and drive proactive improvements.
  • Address customer complaints and warranty claims related to HVAC and cooling systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company quality standards.
  • Provide technical support for customer quality concerns and ensure prompt resolution.
