Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Cold Rolling Mill field.
  • Background in major steel mill processes and products with in-depth knowledge of pickling and rolling processes and technology.
  • Knowledge of steel strip properties and applications.
  • Understanding steel sheet rolling and pickling process, process control, properties and metallurgy of steels.
  • Demonstrates understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and process models.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Technical knowledge of cold rolling and pickling process and flat carbon products.
  • Strong Teamwork and a hands-on working approach.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, Statistics (design of experiments, data analysis and model formulation).

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining an effective technical team responsible for CRM process technology and development.
  • Leads major improvement projects, improving process and product capabilities, throughput, cost (yield), energy and environmental performance.
  • Providing technical support for all CRM units, reporting process performance to Senior management, and managing/improving statistical systems that define product/process capabilities.
  • Developing/improving inspection and testing methods, driving functionality and performance of process models/control systems.
