Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years in process engineering or production in the paper industry.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong knowledge of Pulp & Paper making, waste-water treatment, and recovery operations.
  • Demonstrated interest and aptitude in controls.
  • Work well under pressure and within time constraints as well as possess the ability to multi-task and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving.
  • Capable of working with ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide process optimization and engineering support for the Mill, which will include but is not limited to compliance process coordination, lean projects, quality, product safety, and analytical and systems support.
  • Develop and maintain methods for tracking and reducing operational costs.
  • Coordinate the efforts of our outside resources to improve our operation by filtering and utilizing appropriate information.
  • Conduct data analysis projects and use data to make business decisions.
  • Assignments may include some work at higher levels for training and development purposes.

  • Starting salary range for position: $85, 000-$90,000.
  • Paid Vacation: 3 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
