Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems division is seeking a Test Engineer / Principal Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in ( Roy, UT ) and will support test and checkout activities supporting the Sentinel, formerly Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD), program.

Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications Test Engineer : (T02) 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree 0 years of relevant experience.; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree .
  • Basic Qualifications Principal Test Engineer : (T03) 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree 3 years of relevant experience.; PhD 1 year relevant experience.; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree .
  • At least (2) years of demonstrated experience in writing Electrical/Mechanical component testing documentations (i.e.. Troubleshooting, test plans, procedures, reports)
  • U.S. Citizen with an ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance; (must be current & within scope at time of application)
  • An ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • Familiarity with systems engineering integration and test principles and processes.

  • Experience coordinating and leading integrated testing activities with multiple test teams
  • Cable testing/design experience (especially with automated test equipment)
  • Familiarity with Atlassian applications JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical design
  • Test Automation scripting experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present technical details to peers, and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews (TRRs), test data and test reports
  • Execution of qualification and acceptance testing per requirements, plans and procedures
  • Execute tests, manage and prioritize problems/failures
  • Participate in internal and customer test planning working groups
  • Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment
  • Write and deliver test presentations in support of program reviews and customer delivery (CDRL) development
  • Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements
  • Troubleshoot both test and prototype issues & create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, testing houses, development engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing process.
  • Review test plans, procedures, and reports; witness testing as the Cognizant Engineer
  • Participate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables
