The City of Plano is looking for a passionate, hard-working individual to join our team as a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Public Works Department. This role would be a great fit for an experienced candidate excited to continue their career growth, while working with water and sewer infrastructure through construction, operations, maintenance and monitoring. Under the direction of the Public Works Community Investment Program (CIP) Manager, the ideal candidate collaborates with operations staff to monitor system performance, identify repairs, and recommend operational improvements. Responsibilities include working with consultants on local and system-wide studies, developing contracts for asset maintenance and rehabilitation projects, and contributing to problem-solving for water and wastewater system issues. The role also supports the development of the water and sewer CIP budgets and supervises the Public Works Graduate Water/Wastewater Engineer.
