Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located in Palmdale, California , has an opening for Structural Analysis Engineer or Principal Structural Analysis Engineer. Essential Functions: Metallic and Composite Structural Analysis Engineer - Position requires experience in metallic structural analysis methods and documentation, detailed analysis procedures, load paths, load distribution, sizing, fittings/fasteners/joints/splices, acoustics/vibration familiarity, structural integrity plan, design criteria, stability, crippling, durability analysis and finite element modeling of structure. Desired skills include familiarity with layout sizing, and structural integrity evaluations.

Requirements

  • Basic qualifications for an Engineer Structural Analysis include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 2 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with no years of experience
  • Basic qualifications for a Principal Engineer Structural Analysis include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of experience, or a PhD Degree
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience performing structural analysis on the F35 Program, and familiar with the Lockheed Martin tools such as IMAT, IDAT, and PDM.
  • Experience in finite element analysis/modeling techniques, including manipulation of large finite element models.
