About The Position

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Experimental Physics, Optics or related field
• 5+ years relevant research experience
• Extensive hands-on experience in the design, construction and maintenance of optical workbenches with laser sources
• Advanced Labview and Matlab programming experience
• Strong data acquisition and statistics skills and experience
• Strong understanding of optical theory to troubleshoot and refine optical designs
• High precision optical alignments
• Strong organizational, communication and team skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment

Nice To Haves

• Additional experience in mechanical CAD, machine shop and opto-mechanical techniques
• Experience with acousto-optic deflectors/modulators/high precision optics
• Signal to noise optimization (vibration isolation)
