About The Position

In this role, you will support the development of data-driven visibility, monitoring, and analytics tools across a large-scale service provider network. This position is ideal for recent graduates with strong interests in data science, network automation, and web portal development. You will work closely with experienced engineers to build dashboards, automate workflows, integrate telemetry sources, and enhance the organization’s overall network observability capabilities. The role provides broad exposure to networking technologies, software development, and operational analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Working proficiency in Python, including pandas, NumPy, API integration, and automation scripting.
  • Basic understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling.
  • Foundational networking knowledge (IP addressing, routing basics, VLANs, common protocols).
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (Grafana, Splunk, Tableau, Kibana, Jupyter, etc.).
  • Interest in or experience with portal/web development (React, Angular, Vue, Django, Flask, Node.js).
  • Comfortable using Linux environments and Git.
  • Strong interest in modern observability tools, telemetry pipelines, and data-driven monitoring.
  • Ability to analyze datasets, identify trends, and propose ideas based on data insights.
  • Curiosity about cloud networking, telemetry standards, automation, and network analytics.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data and identify patterns or anomalies.
  • Technical Curiosity: Desire to learn networks, automation, and observability frameworks.
  • Problem-Solving: Breaks down complex problems with guidance from senior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in deploying and improving monitoring dashboards using Splunk, ScienceLogic, IP Fabric, Grafana, or internal platforms.
  • Help build and maintain full-stack portal features, including front-end components and backend data services.
  • Integrate telemetry from network devices, APIs, logs, and databases into analytic workflows.
  • Support multi-vendor environments by validating monitoring coverage for Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and Fortinet devices.
  • Work closely with senior engineers on observability pipelines, dashboards, and automation tools.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team learning sessions to grow your technical skills.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge-sharing resources.
  • Analyze alerts and telemetry to help identify anomalies and performance issues.
  • Assist in creating datasets and visualizations for post-incident reviews.
  • Help refine alerting thresholds, log parsing, and monitoring logic to improve signal quality.
  • Develop Python scripts, API integrations, and Ansible playbooks to automate operational tasks.
  • Contribute to CI/CD workflows that support observability tools and portal components.
  • Help design scalable pipelines for data ingestion, normalization, and visualization.
