Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Responsibilities

• Will work in cross-functional teams on fast-paced projects involving moderate risks and resource requirements, utilizing Flight Deck (GE Aerospace's proprietary lean operating model).
• Will collaborate with cross-functional teams to explain complex or sensitive information and foster consensus among stakeholders.
• Requires persuasion skills to effectively influence others on topics within the field.
• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy.
• May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
• Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and an understanding of machined and cast features.
• Good understanding of how the work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the broader area.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
• Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
• Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.
• Explains technical information to others.
