Engineer - Manufacturing and Process
About The Position
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, evaluating production methods, conducting trials, and coordinating with equipment and tooling vendors. Prepare manufacturing analysis and decision-making data by calculating production capacity, labor requirements, cycle time, and material costs. Lead and manage welders, technicians, and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining required quality standards. Understand client requirements and convert them into technical solutions , including preparation of design concepts, fabrication drawings, and production documentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Demonstrate strong knowledge of welding processes , including ARC, MIG, and TIG welding for Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Non-Ferrous materials. Work closely with local suppliers and subcontractors , leveraging strong knowledge of the UAE vendor base (minimum 2 years’ UAE experience preferred). Ensure compliance with all safety standards as per Dubai / UAE regulations and implement safe working practices across the shop floor. Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery , maintaining product quality through inspection, process control, and adherence to specifications. Apply technical expertise in machining processes , including Lathe, Milling, Drilling, and other conventional machining operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives , such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, SOP/PFMEA development, and waste elimination. Support prototype development and NPI (New Product Introduction) by coordinating between design, procurement, and production teams. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to improve process reliability, efficiency, and throughput.
Requirements
