About The Position

The position involves designing and developing processes and methods for major engineering projects to ensure that products and services meet all contractual, program, design, and quality requirements. The role requires analyzing, organizing, and defining production methods and processes for complex designs, preparing method instructions, and participating in the review of design and manufacturing documentation. The candidate will also assist in engineering analysis, integrate FAA and ISO900 QMS requirements into repair processes, and provide technical support to production areas.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Engineering with 3 to 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain technical support for manufacturing processes.
• Proven understanding of product and tool design, manufacturing processes, and material behavior.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop processes and methods for major engineering projects.
• Analyze, organize, and define production methods and processes for complex designs.
• Prepare method instructions including setup procedures, tool lists, operation sequences, and time standards.
• Participate in the review of design, manufacturing, and test documentation.
• Assist in design, engineering analysis, and interpretation of customer requirements.
• Work from OE issued repair documents and engine service manuals.
• Integrate FAA, AS9011, and ISO900 QMS requirements into repair processes.
• Disposition of discrepant material to ensure product quality.
• Provide technical and advisory support to the production area.
• Interface and support customer product concerns.
