About The Position
The Department of Public Works and Environmental Services (DPWES), Capital Facilities (CAP), in Fairfax County is seeking an architect, civil engineer, structural engineer, mechanical engineer or electrical engineer acting as the owner's representative for capital construction and renovation projects including buildings, sitework, utilities, landscaping, electric vehicle charging station infrastructure, demolition and renewal. This position serves as a construction manager for all phases of construction administration for complex building projects from contract document preparation through post construction. This position manages all aspects of construction procurement methods, such as construction contracts, task orders and purchase orders to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost effectiveness of the project. This position resides in the Building Design and Construction Division, Building Construction Branch.
