About The Position

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking an Engineer, IT Support to join our team! The Engineer, IT Support ensures efforts are in alignment with the Infrastructure team to support customer-focused objectives and the IT Vision: a collaborative partner delivering innovative ideas, solutions and services to simplify people’s lives. This role is responsible for on-site administration of Data Center facilities tests and troubleshooting hardware and software systems. Requirements

  • Associates degree or university diploma in the field of computer science
  • Minimum five+ years of IT work experience
  • Work experience to include extensive hands-on hardware or software installation and support
  • Experience in multiple areas of Infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure support, such as Microsoft Office, Windows, Server, Active Directory Users and Computers, and System Center Configuration Manager
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws including, SAS70, HIPPA, and URAC would be a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide elevated technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond timely to queries in person, over the phone, and in email from customers seeking technical help.
  • Record user interactions in Service Desk application
  • Ask questions to determine the nature of the problem and run diagnostic programs to resolve problems
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
  • Escalate appropriately to other support teams, as needed
  • Keen attention to detail and maintaining accurate inventory system
  • Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals
  • Strong ability to drive technical requirements and project plans to completion
  • Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users, third party vendors, and peers
  • Assist in the planning of upgrades/releases of data center and IT systems and software to limit user impact
  • Some travel may be required
  • Provide after-hours support through a rotating on-call schedule
  • Other duties as assigned
