About The Position

The Engineer Intern will perform basic engineering duties associated with the construction, structural, or civil engineering projects for DB Sterlin. This individual will support all aspects of design projects for roadways, utilities, sewers, and bridges, prepare schematics and models, and perform analysis and engineering calculations. Additionally, this role will support the development of plans, specifications, and estimates, as well as the preparation of technical engineering reports and the performance of construction management for various projects.

Requirements

• Education: A minimum of 2 years of college, preferably from a school with an accredited engineering program
• Experience: Basic engineering skills
• Communication Skills: Basic engineering skills
• Technical Skills: Basic experience with Microsoft Office Suite required or related database software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic fundamental design and modeling tasks
• Participate in data research, collection, and compilation efforts.
• Analyze and correlate scientific and engineering data and recognize discrepancies in results using a series of related detailed steps or processes.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, studies, and technical memoranda.
• Adhere to project deadlines and keep the Supervisor informed of any difficulties encountered on assignments.
• Responsible for reporting on projects to ensure a quality product is produced in accordance with the schedule.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
