Engineer Intern - Automation / Controls
About The Position
Sierra Pacific Industries' Tech Shop in Anderson, California is seeking motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in automation and electrical engineering. Gain exciting hands-on engineering experience working with a team of experienced individuals at a company using cutting edge computing, sensors, and processes to highly automate our manufacturing process. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assemble, wire and test control panels for state-of-the-art lumber manufacturing facilities Work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn new skills Work and gain experience with Electricians, Automation and Computer Engineers
Requirements
- Engineering major in a relevant field - must be going into Junior or Senior year with a background in programming
- Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD, and other analytical and planning tools
- Capable of formulating creative solutions to complex problems
- Possess the ability to work independently
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, listening, and reasoning skills
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to programing or electrical systems preferred
