The Engineer – in- Training will support land development projects by preparing engineering designs and construction documents for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and municipal developments.

Requirements

• 0-2 Years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program
• General knowledge of required design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to maintain required certifications

Nice To Haves

• Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil engineering design and calculations for site grading, erosion and sedimentation control, water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
• Support technical studies and contribute to AutoCAD-based design, including the preparation of plans, details, and specifications.
• Learn the permitting process by assisting with permit applications, agency coordination, and application tracking.
• Gain exposure to construction administration activities, including field observations and preparation of field and inspection reports.
• Assist with project scheduling, cost estimating, and coordination of project deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and senior engineers to develop technical, communication, and project delivery skills.
