Requirements

• Passed EIT exam or the ability to pass within 1 year.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in structural design, with emphasis on building materials.
• Experience with CAD and Microsoft Office Suite highly preferred.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Read, understand, and interpret construction documents and code requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with MPC wood truss design preferred.
• Experience with MiTek truss design software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review, approve, and seal MPC wood roof and floor truss designs and repairs.
• Oversee Engineering Technicians and ensure timely project completion.
• Design roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.
• Generate detailed layout drawings for truss fabrication using architectural and engineering plans.
• Provide structural design and drawing of truss repairs using Truss design and CAD software.
• Provide technical support for engineering initiatives.
• Resolve design and review process questions with external sources.
• Assist sales and support teams with technical questions from customers.
• Participate in maintaining and implementing engineering processes and technical data.
