About The Position

Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineer-in-Training 1 to join our Denver, CO (Centennial) office with a background in plant facilities design for military, higher education, utility power generation plants, and industrial clients. Technical responsibilities will include the design and layout of any / all of the following: site and building power distribution with medium and low voltage systems, switchgear and motor control centers; computer modeling/analysis of electrical systems; protective relaying systems; convenience power, lighting systems, lightning protection and grounding systems; design of schematic and wiring diagrams; preparation of specifications for equipment and systems; report preparation; determining code requirements; and performing and reviewing design computations. Position will be responsible for design efforts, with expectations of performing design duties under supervision. Must be able to coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas as necessary, managing a design budget and schedule, and be able to demonstrate proficiency in these areas. Candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Office. Design experience with ETAP, SKM or similar electrical modeling software is a plus. Design experience with military bases, power generation plants, central plants and campus infrastructure is also a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Engineer in Training registration or the ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Have excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Understanding of developing engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations.
  • Assist in sizing, selecting, and specifying electrical equipment and coordinating information with vendors.
  • Perform project field site visits.
