About The Position

With no direction must be able to independently trouble shoot and resolve a wide variety of maintenance concerns throughout the entire property. May be required to function as a lead on projects, or as an assistant shift manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. CPO and EPA certification required. Must have at least two (2) Nevada State or nationally recognized journeyman certifications, i.e., journeyman plumber, electrician etc.
  • Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
  • Minimum 5 years’ commercial experience and skills in a maintenance specialty.
  • Direct experience and skill set in at least two of the following: electrical, HVACR, plumbing, boilers, kitchen and/or commercial laundry equipment.
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office, BMS, Facilities work order software.
  • Valid Nevada driver’s license, and clean 3-year DMV record required.
  • CPO and EPA certification required. Must have at least two (2) Nevada State or nationally recognized journeyman certifications, i.e., journeyman plumber, electrician etc.
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
  • Fine finger manipulation.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of a Building Management System (BMS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and respond to the work order system, document work performed as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems on the property.
  • Formulate, initiate, and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Respond and take appropriate action in the event of an emergency or critical incident, i.e., system failures, power outages and other emergencies.
  • Monitor performance of equipment checking for hazards, make appropriate adjustments and/or replacements as required.
  • Research parts and materials making recommendations for replacement of original or after-market parts and materials.
  • Perform and document annual inspections on equipment as assigned.
  • Must be able to diagnose and repair complex equipment and components.
  • Knowledge of commercial emergency and critical power distribution systems.
  • Serves as an emergency response team member during critical crises.
  • Maintains pool facilities, adjusts, and documents pool chemicals as required.
  • Address guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
  • Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
  • Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  • Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  • Regular predictable attendance is required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
